Job Description

The Business development Manager will drive strategic growth of the service line ubiquitous network and Data Center Interconnect (DCI) business. This role focuses on constructing large deals and expanding ecosystem partnerships with data center operators, developing DCI products and platforms in collaboration with network engineering teams, and engaging key enterprise customers.

 

Responsibilities

  • 1. Partner & Ecosystem Development 
    • i. Liaise with data center (DC) operators and owners to onboard them as preferred partners for DCI connectivity. 
    • ii. Develop strategic alliances and framework agreements to enhance inter-DC reach and ecosystem integration. 
    • iii. Identify emerging DC locations and new interconnection opportunities. 

 

  • 2. Product & Platform Development 
    • i. Collaborate with the infrastructure and product engineering teams to conceptualize, define, and develop ubiquitous network and DCI products and service platforms. 
    • ii. Drive the creation of scalable, on-demand DCI offerings leveraging the company’s ubiquitous network and optical transport capabilities. 
    • iii. Provide market feedback and customer insights to guide roadmap and pricing strategies. 

 

  • 3. Business Growth & Customer Engagement 
    • i. Work closely with sales teams to identify and engage key clients
    • ii. Lead and construct commercial discussions for large-scale deals 
    • iii. Build and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic accounts and ecosystem partners. 

 

  • 4. Strategic Initiatives 
    • i. Drive DCI network expansion and large deals initiatives with business case aligned with company growth 
    • ii. Analyze competitive landscape and market trend
    • iii. Support marketing and go-to-market efforts for new connectivity products and platforms. 

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering/IT or related discipline with at least 8 years of relevant working experience in the Telco, ICT arena - IT Network industry and involved in Pre-sales or Post-sales of medium to large/complex Infrastructure 
  • Familiar and conversant in Telco services – Optical Network, DWDM, Wavelength services, IP Networking, Inter-DC Connectivity 
  • Experience engaging hyperscalers, carriers, or DC operators 
  • Ability to perform independently and interface with customers, partners and account team 
  • Good knowledge of consulting frameworks and methodologies 
  • Excellent presentation/communication skills (written and verbal)
