We are searching for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Engineering Officer (GIS/ System Support) where you will act as the business point-of-contact for GIS (Geographic Information System) users, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and timely issue resolution.

 

Make an Impact by: 

 

  • Log, track, and follow up on incidents or service requests through the internal ticketing system, ensuring timely closure and SLA compliance.
  • Coordinate and liaise with IT teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders for issue escalation, change requests, patch deployments, and system enhancements.
  • Perform testing and validation (SIT/UAT) during system updates, deployments, or configuration changes to ensure functional accuracy and system stability.
  • Provide UAT and cut- over support, including night-time standby when required
  • Support requirement gathering and design workshops for system enhancements, technology refresh initiatives, and new feature rollout
  • Maintain and improve data integrity, SOP adherence, and compliance within the GIS platform and its integration with other systems.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated GIS modules or workflows, guiding junior team members and ensuring knowledge continuity.
  • Review and assess change requests (CRs) for technical and business impacts, coordinating with IT and vendors for implementation and verification
  • Provide continuity of support for the ongoing GIS Technology Refresh, including requirement gathering, design workshops, and SIT with IT, vendor, and line-user teams

 

 

Skills for Success:

 

  • Diploma in Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in system support, data management, or coordination roles within enterprise or GIS environments.
  • Hands-on experience in GIS platforms (e.g. ArcGIS) including data validation, reconciliation, and map-based workflows.
  • Strong coordination skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders for compliance, integration, and project delivery.
  • Knowledge of system change management and experience in UAT/SIT, incident management, and service management tools such as ServiceNow or JIRA.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, capable of preparing reports, dashboards, and performing quality checks across large datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and IT discussions.
  • Able to work flexible or night shifts when required during UAT or system cut-over windows
