We are seeking an experienced Project Director – Data & AI Engineering to lead large scale Data and AI initiatives. You will oversee multiple streams, bring clarity to execution, and ensure programs deliver tangible business value. In addition to driving delivery, you will mentor project managers and coordinate cross functional teams in a fast paced environment.

What you will do:
•    Lead end to end delivery of large Data & AI initiatives aligned with business goals.
•    Coordinate data engineering, data science, and platform teams to manage dependencies.
•    Manage project financials including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets
•    Mentor project managers and leads, ensuring clear timelines and strong delivery practices.
•    Engage senior stakeholders with regular updates and quick issue resolution.
•    Establish governance frameworks, track progress, and report key metrics.
•    Apply expertise in data platforms, analytics, and data science to guide decisions.

The ideal candidate should possess: 
•    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
•    15 plus years in IT with at least 5 years in a Project Director or senior program management role.
•    Proven delivery experience in data platforms, analytics, and data science.
•    Strong track record in project turnaround and stakeholder management.
•    Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
•    Public sector experience in a SI environment 
•    Strong leadership, planning, and organizational abilities.
•    Skilled in project financial management and budget control
•    Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills.
•    Comfortable managing projects under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
