Make an Impact by:

• Support the transformation project for Singtel’s Next Generation Carrier Ethernet Network (NGCE).
• Mange operation issues and escalate chronic/technically complex cases to the Vendors and follow-up till closure.
• Monitor and take remedial action on pro-actively and reactively detected services and network infrastructure faults till closure.
• Schedule and carry out network maintenance on network Infrastructure such as the new deployment of nodes and trunks to support Core network activities and business growth.
• Schedule and execute pre-planned operational activities such as preventive and corrective maintenance like network device hardware and software upgrade as well as new service provisioning and network optimization.
• Ensure that technical and managerial escalation and communication to stake holders are done whenever necessary.
• Liaise and coordinate with internal stake holders, providers and partners to ensure swift and efficient resolution of faults.
• Provide impact analysis and process review on scheduled changes / faults / outage on provider and internal networks (e.g. fiber cuts, fiber diversions, hardware failure…).
• Documenting all Incidents and events through Incident ticketing system.
• Identify areas of improvements to reduce Infrastructure faults and improve monitoring capability.
• Deployment of best practice configurations in existing infrastructure.
• Up keeping of IP network infrastructure information and records.

Skills for Success:

• Degree or diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems.
• Candidates with relevant working experience in design and operation, maintenance of IP networks of global service providers will have added advantage.
• Understanding of Internet routing protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, OSFP, ISIS, BGP, VLAN, MPLS.
• Knowledge of routers/switches architecture and analytical and trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification.
• Knowledge in Nokia Certified Network Routing Specialists (NRS I, NRS II) or Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or Juniper certifications (JNCIA, JNCIS) or Huawei certifications (HCNA, HCNP).
• Willing to be available for 24 x 7 standby support and/or scheduled shift work.
