We’re searching for a Cloud Engineer to be part of our diverse team of talents here at NCS! 

Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring robust server environments across Windows and Linux platforms. You will collaborate closely with the IT team to support the ongoing success of various projects and initiatives, including cloud networking, system performance monitoring, security implementation, and disaster recovery solutions. Your work will directly contribute to the seamless functioning of mission-critical applications and services.

What we seek to accomplish together

• Managing AWS or Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
• Provide support for Windows and Linux server environments.
• Configure and manage basic cloud networking and routing, including VPCs and security groups.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Help implement security measures and updates.
• Collaborate with the IT team to support various projects and initiatives.
• Assist in maintaining backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Linux support experience is a must.
• Strong understanding of AWS or Azure cloud services, Windows, and Linux server administration.
• Experience with cloud computing, VPC networking/routing concepts
• Maintaining cloud systems with Terraform is preferred.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Experience with Containerisation technologies such as EKS/AKS/GKS and Kubernetes preferred.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and systems management solutions.
• Basic knowledge of networking and cybersecurity is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Required Certifications:
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner
  • Azure Certified Administrator

Additional Preferred Skills:

• AWS Solution Architect (Associate/Professional) Certification
• Certified Kubernetes Admin
