We are looking for a Cloud DevSecOps Modernisation Architect to lead and architect cloud modernization initiatives, integrating DevSecOps best practices to transform legacy applications and infrastructure into secure, scalable, cloud-native, and AI-enabled solutions. Bridge business needs and technical innovation, guiding clients through modernization journeys with a focus on automation, security, and operational excellence.

What will you do?

Modernization & Architecture Leadership

• Assess customer IT and application landscapes, identifying opportunities for modernization and cloud migration.
• Design and architect cloud-native, microservices, and API-driven solutions, incorporating AI and automation where applicable.
• Develop modernization strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor, rebuild, replace) with security and compliance as core principles.
• Document current-state architectures and propose target-state solutions, including DevSecOps pipelines and AI augmentation.

DevSecOps Enablement

• Architect, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Python.
• Integrate security controls and automated testing into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Operate, manage, and support cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance.
• Lead the adoption of DevSecOps practices across cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Delivery & Execution Oversight

• Oversee technical delivery of modernization projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, enterprise standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Collaborate with development, cloud engineering, DevOps, and data/AI teams for successful implementation.
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks, ensuring quality, performance, security, and reliability benchmarks are met.

Customer Engagement & Advisory

• Conduct workshops and discovery sessions to understand client needs and present modernization strategies.
• Create solution proposals, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation for RFPs and client presentations.
• Advise clients on industry best practices, technology standards, and emerging trends in cloud, DevSecOps, and AI.

The ideal candidate should possess:

Technical Skills

• Deep understanding of legacy systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern architecture paradigms (microservices, containers, APIs).
• Hands-on expertise in CI/CD tools, scripting (Python, Bash, Powershell), and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Practical experience integrating security into DevOps pipelines (DevSecOps).
• Familiarity with AI-enabled application components, observability, distributed tracing, and performance benchmarking.
• Knowledge of software development and collaboration tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle).

Soft Skills

• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence, consult, and build trust with technical and business stakeholders.
• Team player with leadership qualities and a positive, proactive attitude.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Cloud Architect certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• DevOps/DevSecOps certifications.
• TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Cloud architecture, DevSecOps, and application modernization.
• Experience in presales, customer-facing solutioning, or architectural advisory.
• Experience delivering solutions for regulated industries (e.g., government, finance) is a strong plus.
