Make an Impact by:

• Responsible for all pipe and fibre infra planning and implementation works.
• Proactively top up fibre and pipe when required
• Perform cab survey, identify capacity of each cab and prepare site survey report
• Lead technicians to support pipe and fiber project during implementation phase and supervise contractors to work at site with restricted access
• Manage and resolve site issues related to pipe and cables, coordinate with provisioning teams and contractors until completion of equipment commissioning
• Ensure that target dates (Customer Ready Date) for all access fibre cable schemes are met so that services can be provided expeditiously to customers
• Attend site meeting with other public bodies, private housing developers, building management, etc, in connection with provision and diversion of underground plants.
• Supervise technicians and contractors to execute all access fibre cable works in the area under his/her care in accordance with all established operation procedures and engineering instructions
• Lead site survey, site meetings, troubleshooting
• Take ownership and manage staff on fibre splicing, fibre termination, fibre patching and fiber testing for the provisioning and maintenance of fibre based products
• Conduct power meter test, OTDR test to check on the contractors’ quality of work
• Take charge for the maintenance of pipe and fibre infra; attend to emergency cable breakdowns and system outage during and after office hours
• On standby and attend to site when being mobilized
• Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor

Skills for Success:

• Diploma in Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in related fiel
• Good knowledge in running operations
• Able to manage contractors effectively and communicate with internal stakeholders.
• Able to commit on standby task for restoration work
