The AI Engineer is responsible for building proof-of-concept (PoC) AI solutions and advancing high-potential ideas into production-ready capabilities that create real business impact for Singtel.

This role is designed for an AI-native builder with a strong AI-first mindset and entrepreneurial drive—someone who experiments with the latest AI and GenAI innovations, rapidly prototypes solutions, and takes accountability to harden, scale, and transition successful PoCs into production.

Through hands-on delivery and visible outcomes, the role helps influence teams across the organisation to adopt AI-first ways of working and embed AI into core processes and platforms.

Make an Impact by:

• Build proof-of-concept (PoC) AI and GenAI solutions to validate ideas, technologies, and business use cases.
• Advance selected PoCs into production-ready solutions by improving robustness, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Experiment continuously with the latest AI models, tools, frameworks, and agentic AI approaches to identify innovation opportunities.
• Design and develop AI-native workflows, agents, or applications that can operate reliably in enterprise environments.
• Partner with AI engineers, solution architects, and platform teams to ensure smooth transition from experimentation to production deployment.
• Apply software engineering best practices (e.g. modular design, testing, monitoring) to productionise AI solutions.
• Act as an internal AI-first advocate by demonstrating working solutions that influence adoption and mindset change across teams.
• Document technical designs, learnings, and production considerations to support reuse, scaling, and continuous improvement.

Skills for Success:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data, Math, AI/ML, or related field.
• Hands-on experience building AI solutions that progressed from prototype to usable or production systems.
• Strong AI-first and AI-native engineering mindset.
• Proficiency in Python and rapid prototyping workflows.
• Practical experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and experimentation.
• Ability to productionise AI solutions with attention to reliability and maintainability.
• Builder mindset with end-to-end ownership from idea to production.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-changing environments.
• Ability to influence adoption through working solutions rather than presentations.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
