What you will be doing:<ul><li>Perform installation, commissioning, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair or overhaul of mtu engines and associated equipment at customer locations or in the workshop.</li><li>Manage field service jobs in accordance with approved work orders, technical manuals, and company procedures, ensuring quality standards and customer satisfaction are met.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve mechanical or system-related issues efficiently using logical and analytical problem-solving skills.</li><li>Conduct system acceptance tests with customers or their representatives, including performance verification and completion of required documentation.</li><li>Prepare and submit timely and accurate technical service reports, investigation summaries, corrective action reports, travel reports, and job completion documentation.</li><li>Ensure all service activities comply with workplace safety and health regulations, including company WSH policies and site-specific safety requirements.</li><li>Maintain a high standard of professionalism while representing the mtu and Rolls-Royce brand during customer engagements.</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on service processes, technical issues, and field observations.</li><li>Carry out additional service or operational tasks as assigned by the Manager or Department Head.</li></ul>Position requirements:<ul><li>Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline.</li><li>Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in the diesel engine or generator industry.</li><li>Proven experience in servicing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and project execution activities.</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.</li><li>Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.</li><li>Able to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a team.</li><li>Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required.</li><li>Comfortable working in field conditions and responding to service calls at short notice.</li></ul>Preferred qualifications:<ul><li>Prior experience with mtu engines and systems.</li><li>Exposure to marine or power generation applications.</li><li>Experience conducting customer acceptance testing and performance verification.</li><li>Familiarity with service documentation standards and reporting requirements.</li></ul>About mtu Power SystemsPower Systems is the Rolls-Royce business which provides world-class power solutions and complete life-cycle support under our product and solution brand mtu.
