Job Description

The Supply Chain Operations Lead - Philippines is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive transportation strategies aligned with business objectives, considering factors such as cost, service level agreements, and environmental sustainability. The role participates in the selection and onboarding of transportation service providers, overseeing the management of contracts and agreements to ensure compliance. The role engages in strategic forecasting and capacity planning, anticipates future transportation needs and mitigates potential risks. The role negotiates commercial tariffs with service providers, and provides guidance and recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions and initiatives. The role handles the execution of warehousing contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions while proactively identifying opportunities for cost savings and service enhancements.
Your Role:
  • Own Transportation Operations: Directly or through delegation, ensure efficient execution of inbound receiving, storage, handling, and outbound transportation with a focus on quality, patient safety, end-to-end optimisation, and full compliance with regulatory, sustainability, legal, and trade obligations.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Maintain accuracy and consistency of master and transactional data by adhering to established protocols and standards across all operational activities.
  • Performance Management: Define, monitor, and evaluate KPIs for logistics and transportation operations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement transportation strategies aligned with business objectives, considering cost, SLAs, compliance, and environmental sustainability.
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in planning and executing large-scale projects to optimise transportation networks, reduce costs, onboard new operations, and enhance supply chain visibility and service quality.
  • Process Optimisation: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements using technology and data analytics.
  • Vendor Management: Participate in selecting and onboarding transportation service providers, conducting assessments and negotiations to secure strategic partnerships.
  • Contract Oversight: Manage transportation contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for cost savings and service enhancements.
  • Forecasting & Risk Mitigation: Conduct short- and medium-term forecasting and capacity planning to anticipate future transportation needs and mitigate risks related to demand fluctuations, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors.
  • Training & Development: Design and implement training programmes for logistics and transportation staff to foster continuous learning and capability building.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a trusted advisor on logistics and transportation matters, providing strategic guidance to senior management.
  • Talent Management: Lead team performance, including recruitment, development, compensation, and career progression, ensuring effective operational management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Anchor Supply Chain operations in the Philippines, collaborating with Country Leader, senior leadership and cross functional teams.
  • Communication & Reporting: Deliver weekly and monthly presentations across the APAC region in English.


You're the right fit if you have:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in managing Supply Chain functions - Demand Planning, Logistics, Warehousing, Physical Distribution, and Revenue Planning.
  • Proven ability to lead teams
  • Strong track record of leading Supply Chain operations at a country or regional level, ensuring seamless integration and stakeholder alignment.

Skills:

  • Excellent Stakeholder Management skills, particularly with senior leaders and cross functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and English proficiency, with the ability to deliver impactful presentations across the APAC region.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
