As a Commercial Banking Intern, you'll be responsible for supporting the sales and lending teams in prospecting customers, submitting loan applications, and managing the loan disbursement process. What you do
Your responsibilities will include:
• Prospecting of customers: listening to Business Development Managers (BDMs) on their prospecting and customer conversations across various teams
• Submission of loan application: reading and basic understanding of financials, loan submission process, and mitigating weakness of cases
• Post approval: preparation of loan acceptance documents, site visits with BDMs, and loan presentation and sign down process
• Loan disbursement: preparation and submission of loan disbursement documents
• Market Research: conducting market research to identify new business opportunities
• Process improvement: relooking at existing processes and making recommendations on changes to improve processes and efficiency
In addition to the above program, you will be expected to assist with some administrative duties, including:
• Working closely with EMB Team Leaders in capturing and preparation of information for different products and sale campaigns
• Assisting in the Lending Business unit in preparation of daily loans reports and monitoring of completion of deviations by BDMs
• Supporting the bank sustainability effort in Greening of CPLs through re-assessment of SMEEA for new CPLs acquired 12 months ago and re-greening of CPLs that was acquired previously
• Covering of Lending support duties when they are on leave/MC

• Good analytical and presentation skills
• Good MS Office knowledge
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
