Role Overview

ASEAN High Touch Sales Trader will be responsible for covering a portfolio of key clients and actively engaging with cross-functional partners to drive trading activity together. You will be required to generate, manage, and execute cash equities trades across ASEAN markets for buy side institutions and identify opportunities for trades and business development opportunities.

 

This position requires a deep understanding of execution strategies, algorithmic trading, and a strong network across ASEAN markets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  •       Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, and other financial institutions.
  •       Monitor market trends, economic indicators, restrictions, and regulatory developments affecting the ASEAN equity markets.
  •       Oversee the execution of trades, ensuring adherence to the best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  •       Analyze real-time market information to make effective trading decisions and keep clients informed of developments.
  •       Create Sales trading content to compliment franchise offering.
  •       Develop & maintain good relationships with internal counterparts.
  •       Ability to cross sell wider franchise offering. 

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Institutional Sales Trading covering ASEAN markets.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience covering cash equities, and vanilla equity products
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience covering institutional clients across ASEAN equities
  • Knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and trading strategies specific to ASEAN equity markets.
  • Strong relationships and experience executing trades for global asset managers.
  • Familiar with OMS/EMS, FIX protocol, and trading protocols.
  • Strong relationship management skills, good inter-personal, and experience in a collaborative, team-based, results-oriented environment.
  • Good organization and time management skills. Should be able to work under time pressure.
