We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our Engineering team to work on a large scale, complex system that brings innovation to healthcare. You will be working on modern technology stack and in a cross-functional environment that promotes collaboration within/across teams and managing both internal/external stakeholders.

As Software Engineer Intern, you will support product development from initialization till rollout. You will be working alongside top engineers on architecture, design, implementation, testing, and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong ownership, good communication skills, and enjoy working in highly collaborative and fast-paced environments.

About the role:

• Collaborate with team members to define, design, and ship new features. Most this one be one full piece of work which the person needs to develop end to end and later integrate with the bigger machinery
• Some concrete technologies with which one would be working in this role (but not limited to) :
  • AWS
  • Java, SpringBoot (heavy on this side)
  • MySQL
  • MongoDB
  • Shell Scripting
  • Git
  • Bitbucket Pipelines
  • Golang (maybe)
  • Markdown (for documentation)
• Assist in maintaining code quality, code organization, documentation and automation.
• Assist with estimating work efforts required for each phase of a project.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Work with the Engineering team to help ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

About you: 

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate (minimum Year 3) or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle, CI/CD pipelines (preferable Bitbucket pipelines or Jenkins) and Git for version control.
• Proficient in Java with Spring Framework, with basic knowledge of AWS, databases, and shell scripting, and hands-on experience with at least one agentic tool (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Junie); experience with JavaScript UI frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, ReactJS), Android/iOS development, and Terraform is a plus.
• Excellent in problem solving and analytical skills.
• Aspire to excellence in Software Engineering.
• High energy, motivated team player, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams in delivering outcomes.
• Strong communication skills with ability to present complex ideas and document in a clear and concise way.
• Keen to be working within a tech startup and hyper growth environment
• Comfortable with fast paced operations and not afraid to "roll up your sleeves" to get things done.
• This is a full-time, paid internship opportunity with 3 months minimum duration
