Responsibilities

As a key member of the SG CBG Credit team, you will:

• Lead a team of experienced credit approvers to ensure sound, consistent, and policy‑aligned lending decisions.
• Oversee complex and escalated cases, providing clear guidance and strong credit judgment.
• Uphold disciplined underwriting standards and ensure decisions reflect the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
• Partner with business, product, and risk teams to support responsible growth while maintaining credit discipline.
• Strengthen credit processes, documentation quality, and governance practices across the approval workflow.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote efficiency, consistency, and transparency in credit decisioning.
• Develop team capabilities, foster a culture of professionalism and accountability, and ensure strong succession readiness.

Requirements

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

• 10+ years of experience in consumer credit risk, with strong exposure to underwriting of retail and wealth products
• Proven leadership experience managing a credit team in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment
• Strong understanding of credit risk, collateral management, portfolio analytics, and risk controls.
• Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes across risk, business, and control functions

Qualifications & knowledge

• A recognised degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent
• Strong Understanding of consumer lending regulations and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of industry best practices, trends and emerging technologies in consumer banking
