Business Function

Group Technology enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group Technology, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business and Application teams to design, develop, and deliver technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Engineer, develop, and maintain automation scripts for storage operations, adhering to CI/CD practices to ensure quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
  • Document storage architecture, technical solutions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and automation workflows to ensure operational excellence and knowledge sharing.
  • Define, maintain, and enforce configuration standards and design guidelines for storage platforms, focusing on availability, performance, resilience, and monitoring.
  • Manage the complete storage lifecycle, including design, deployment, administration, upgrades, and decommissioning of SAN/NAS/CAS infrastructure.
  • Assess, document, and apply emerging technologies and best practices to enhance system automation, recoverability, availability, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead incident management, service recovery, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to strengthen system reliability.
  • Provide senior-level technical support to development and operations teams, acting as an escalation point for complex storage-related issues.
  • Perform proactive storage performance analysis, capacity planning, and platform optimization.
  • Track, plan, and execute patch management and software upgrades to maintain supportability, compliance, and security standards.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventories and perform timely updates to support operational and audit requirements.
  • Support storage aspects throughout project lifecycles, including requirements gathering, design, procurement, implementation, and operational transition.
  • Enforce information security best practices, including access control management and regular access review.
  • Support internal and external audit and compliance activities by ensuring adherence to operational standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Application Support, Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Asset Management.
  • Deliver expert storage support services across Singapore and regional locations within a global operational framework.
  • Provide off-hours support when required to ensure continuous service availability.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of enterprise system support experience focused on storage technologies (SAN/NAS/CAS) in mission-critical environments.
  • Strong engineering-level expertise across HDS VSP, Huawei Dorado, NetApp ONTAP, Dell PowerMax (PMAX), Dell ECS, and Brocade FOS platforms.
  • Proficient in system platforms and storage technologies, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, AIX, volume managers, file systems, snapshots, and replication solutions (SRDF, GAD, HyperMetro, HyperReplication,SnapMirror).
  • Skilled in developing automation/dashboarding solutions using Python, JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, React, and Shell scripting within CI/CD pipeline frameworks is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of information security principles, system hardening, and access control practices.
  • Strong knowledge of data communication and networking concepts related to storage systems.
  • Familiarity with container technologies (Docker) and container platforms (Red Hat OpenShift) is preferred.
  • Basic virtualization experience such as VMware, Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager, or FusionCompute is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to service improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous professional development.
