Business Function

Group Technology enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group Technology, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

1. Involved in web development, REST API development and smart metering information development.
2. Developing complex systems and components for real time, distributed and highly secured environments.
3. Ensure code and designs are in compliance with bank’s policies, follow specifications, coding best practices, prepare and produce releases of software components.
4. Working with a CI/CD pipeline (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube) and deployment tools such as Docker and OpenShift,S3.
5. Support implementation and onboarding of application teams to ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana).
6. Working with highly collaborative teams and to build quality solutions.
7. Working with Agile teams using JIRA tool.

Requirements

1. Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field that involves programming, or combination of equivalent practical experience and education.
2. Minimum 5 – 10 years working experience in relevant role/s
3. Significant experience with Java 11/17, Spring Boot Framework, Maven, Kafka, Web Sockets, gRPC, Gradle, Node JS and JavaScript, CSS, ReactJS, Angular / Vue, Python
4. Experience in utilising open-source technologies and related configurations.
5. Knowledge of REST and SOAP protocols
6. Experience working with DevOps tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube)
7. Experience in at least one of the databases such as MariaDB/MySQL / Oracle / SQL Server / Redis / MongoDB / Hive
8. Good to have an experience on BPMN frameworks like Camunda/Activiti
9. Good to have an experience on JIRA administration and groovy scripting.
10. Experience in ELK stack (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) and Grafana
11. Good to have an experience in Java design patterns, Micro services, and event driven architectures.
12. Good to have an experience on test automation like JUnit’s, Cucumber, Selenium, TDD etc.
13. Good to be able to perform data analysis to develop dashboards and metrics.
14. Possess good problem-solving skill and can adapt to changes in business requirements.
15. Effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast paced, global environment.
16. Strong organisational skills to manage assignments effectively and working within tight deadlines.
17. Strong communications skills to collaborate with developers, QA, project managers and other stakeholders.
18. Experience working in Agile teams using JIRA tool.
19. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
20. Willing to learn new skills, existing and emerging technologies
