DBS Foundation is deepening its commitment to addressing Asia’s most pressing social challenges — with a sharpened focus on enabling ageing societies, ensuring essential needs and fostering inclusion for vulnerable communities. With this in mind, we are expanding our marketing team to ensure we effectively communicate our initiatives, reach a broader audience, and amplify the impact of our work.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be involved in working with various community ecosystem partners in Singapore as well as in priority markets across Asia, together with internal cross-functional teams (e.g. Governance, Compliance and Impact Measurement, Advocacy, other DBS Bank Colleagues etc), to develop and deliver community programmes under the theme of Providing Essential Needs in DBS Foundation.
- This position requires someone with a good balance of strategic and execution abilities:
- Strategy: someone who has an ability to research priority issue areas of DBS Foundation under the theme Providing Essential Needs, connect the dots, form community partnerships, and develop key initiatives that drive towards DBS Foundation’s overall mission and vision; and
- Execution: the ability to roll up their sleeves in a dynamic environment, driving the execution of programmes together with community partners, and collect relevant impact data over time effectively to track impact.
- As part of DBS Foundation, this position also involves supporting wider programmes, events and communications towards Creating Impact Beyond Banking.
- This position reports to the Team Lead (Providing Essential Needs), DBS Foundation.
Requirements:
- Partnerships - self-starter who is able to drive DBS Foundation’s community focus through strong and relevant ecosystem partnerships, both internally within the bank and externally with community partners.
- Project management skills - to execute programmes, initiatives and events that are part of the Providing Essential Needs strategy, working with an extended cross-functional team. Help in preparation of reports on various programmes and partnerships on a regular basis.
- Team player – able to leverage expertise across various teams in DBS Foundation and DBS and across the Bank, including working with regional DBS Foundation teams.
- Communication & Written skills – Communicate effectively to various stakeholders internal and external, and ensuring all relevant stakeholders are updated on the plan and it’s execution, as well as providing their respective updates towards meeting an execution timelines.
- Impact experience – Minimum 6 years work experience, with experience across social impact, community programmes, research, and project management. Experience in a corporate foundation setting would be an advantage
- Must be able to work independently in a lean team.
- Importantly, candidate should be purpose driven and have a desire to create impact to uplift the lives and livelihoods of the underprivileged.
