GFM Operations - GFM Ops operates as a Regional Processing Centre (Hub & Spoke) supporting GFM businesses in the region. The hub and spoke model allow GFM business to scale up while remaining agile in product and service offerings in the fast, evolving market environment. As GFM business expands product offerings in the region coupled with the dynamic regulatory environment, GFM Ops leverages on this unique advantage to continue to standardize processes to manage processing risk and to facilitate automation as well as governance of service level and quality.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform end-to-end post trade operational processes for exchange traded derivatives products, ensuring accurate trade capture, processing funding, reconciliation and delivery lifecycle management within SLAs and in accordance with established procedures
- Support new business initiatives and product expansion, ensuring operational readiness and robust control frameworks
- Support operational excellence and control enhancements, including participation in strategic initiatives such as reconciliation platform transformation, process automation and continuous improvement of post-trade workflows
Responsibilities
- Execute daily operations processes for exchange-traded derivatives, ensuring timely and accurate processing in accordance with service level agreements.
- Validate and reconcile exchange-traded products against internal records and clearing broker statements, including maintaining correct settlement prices and monitoring options expires
- Process margin calls and withdrawals with clearing brokers and maintain oversights of exposure limits
- Provide timely and effective support and services to internal clients and stakeholders
- Ensure strict adherence to all internal controls and procedures; and maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and support audit and control requirements
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new systems, products, and markets by supporting operational setup, process and control design, service readiness, and establishing service levels. Participate in user testing, process reviews, and system implementation activities related to transformation activities.
- Support ad-hoc business and operational tasks and projects related to exchange-traded derivatives products
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with at least 4 years of experience, preferably within global markets, derivatives, futures brokerage or investment banking.
- Knowledge of exchange-traded derivatives and post-trade operations, with familiarity in middle or back-office control processes
- Exposure to systems, process improvement or automation initiatives (e.g. VBA, data analysis) would be advantageous
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, a team player, with availability to work in Singapore Public Holidays (rotational basis)
