Job Description

About the Role:

DBS is seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Lead to join our Consumer Banking & Wealth Management Operations (CBWMO) team. The Production Management Lead is accountable for the end‑to‑end stability, resilience, and recoverability of CBWMO’s production environment. This role sits at the intersection of production issue governance, change readiness, service reliability, and business continuity, ensuring that operational disruptions are prevented where possible, detected early when they occur, and resolved sustainably when they arise.

Beyond day‑to‑day incident oversight, the role drives a systemic, forward‑looking production management capability—using insights from production issues, overdue service requests, regression outcomes, and BCM testing to strengthen controls, reduce recurrence, and uplift operational resilience across CBWMO.

Key Responsibilities:

The role delivers Production Management outcomes through four tightly linked dimensions:
Production Stability, Change & Release Readiness, Service Reliability, and Business Continuity.
Together, these responsibilities enable a closed‑loop production management model—where incidents inform prevention, service signals highlight emerging risks, and continuity planning ensures resilience under stress.

1)      Own the end‑to‑end governance of CBWMO production issues, ensuring timely resolution while driving deep root‑cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

  • Consolidate and assess production issues across CBWMO, articulating customer and operational impact for senior management forums
  • Establish clear escalation and prioritisation frameworks to drive issue resolution with Technology
  • Drive sustainable fixes by ensuring systemic issues are identified, tracked, and closed beyond tactical remediation

2)      Strengthen production stability by providing end‑to‑end oversight of all regression requests across CBWMO, ensuring testing demand is appropriately prioritised and resourced to support both planned and unplanned requests.

  • Maintain a consolidated view of all regression requests, spanning planned releases, tactical fixes, and unplanned production‑driven changes
  • Assess and prioritise regression demand based on system criticality, customer impact, and production risk, balancing planned versus unplanned activities
  • Ensure sufficient and timely resource allocation across regression tracks to avoid bottlenecks and compromised test coverage
  • Partner with Technology to scale automation, reduce manual dependency, and improve consistency of test outcomes
  • Ensure learnings from regression gaps translate into improved controls and reduced production incidents

3)      Govern service request health as an early indicator of production and operational risk.

  • Own CBWMO’s Service request governance framework, including ageing thresholds, reporting standards, and accountability
  • Analyse Service Request trends to identify systemic process, capacity, or technology weaknesses
  • Drive targeted improvement plans to reduce backlog sustainably
  • Ensure accurate, forward‑looking reporting to support service reliability discussions and decision‑making

4)      Ensure CBWMO’s ability to continue critical operations during severe disruption through robust Business Continuity governance.

  • Oversee the maintenance, testing, and continuous improvement of Business Continuity Plans
  • Ensure impact assessments and recovery strategies remain aligned to current operating models and Group BCM’s policies
  • Act as the key interface for audits, regulatory reviews, and internal assurance on BCM matters

Together, these responsibilities enable a closed‑loop production management model—where incidents inform prevention, service signals highlight emerging risks, and continuity planning ensures resilience under stress.

Requirements:

·         5–8 years of experience in financial services with ideally 3–5 years in a leadership or senior specialist capacity.

  • Strong understanding of production support operating models, operational resilience metrics, and cross‑system dependencies.
  • Knowledge of governance frameworks, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements, including BCM practices, risk assessment, and BCP development/testing is an advantage
  • Strong collaboration skills managing multiple stakeholders, with experience consolidating cross‑functional impacts and driving operational alignment.
  • Strong analytical capability to assess issue patterns, perform structured root‑cause analysis and recommend preventive strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex operational and technical issues clearly for diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders.
