About the Role
As a Site Manager (Structured Cabling), you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of structured cabling projects (fiber and copper) at client sites, ensuring that all installations meet industry standards, project timelines, and quality requirements. You’ll act as the on-site lead, coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and vendors while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring safety and compliance at all times.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee day-to-day site operations for structured cabling (copper & fiber optic) projects.
- Review and interpret project drawings, cabling layouts, and specifications.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors during cable pulling, termination, splicing, labeling, and testing activities.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, BICSI, and client standards.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report risks, delays, or site issues to the Program Manager & Client.
- Ensure all cabling systems are properly tested (Fluke, OTDR, power meter) and documented for client handover.
- Enforce HSE compliance, conduct toolbox talks, and manage Permits to Work (PTWs).
- Liaise with stakeholders (clients, consultants, vendors, and other trades) to resolve technical or scheduling conflicts.
- Manage manpower, tools, and material allocation, including monitoring deliveries and site inventory.
- Prepare site reports, redline drawings, and final handover documentation.
What You’ll Need
- Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field (preferred) or higher.
- 5+ years of experience in structured cabling / ICT infrastructure site management.
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, BICSI, TIA-942).
- Proven experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating multi-trade activities.
- Familiarity with data center, ELV, or ICT infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings, cable schedules, and method statements.
- Proficiency in cable testing and certification (Fluke, OTDR).
- Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel within project locations as required.
